Geocaching & more.

Geocaching... A worldwide group of GPS users. Users place 'caches' in locations all over the world. These can be anything from a small magnetic key box to something larger. There are rules and guidelines for individuals to follow. Some caches are placed in easy location , some are more difficult which may require a hike to get to. There are also Earth caches , which are simply landmarks the person placing the cache think may be interesting.
With our travels all over we decided to see if we could find a few. So far this trip we have found two. It is simple process, online we go to the Geocaching website , put in the zip code s and get a list of caches in your area.

We input the coordinates in the GPS and follow the map.

This particular cache pictured here was a location in Idaho called the Pirimids, this was a location where Lewis & Clark passed by on there expedition out west. These are formations created over millions of years.

Further up the road we met a fellow way up in the hills, who, we found out later, is a well known artist, engraving and carving. We stopped in front of his home(studio) and he invited us in for a tour. He showed us many of his creations. He had been in a high stress government job dealing with chemical warfare, and had taken up carving years ago. We were impressed, and no , he didn't try to sell us anything.
