Avery Island

Avery Island is where Tabasco sauce is made, we toured the factory, one interesting fact is, Tabasco sauce is aged in wooden barrels for Three (3) YEARS before it is bottled.

Also at Avery Island is a Nature Preserve owned be the McElheney family, who still own and manage Tabasco.
This Oak tree was given to the family by President Cleveland.

The last picture is of the nesting racks, docks where the birds nest. There are 1000's of them there.
Avery Island is located south of Laffeytte, LA.

Buggy Moho

This is how the moho looked when we arrived at Treasure Coast resort in Fort Pierce, FL. There is actually a 'Lovebug' season, where these little black & orange bugs mate while flying thru the air!!!!!!!!! So when they hit your rig , there is two of them that get smashed. They are very acidic, and will damage the paint if not removed soon.

Trip East from CG

Just west of Las Cruses, NM & The Pecos River not far from Langtry,TX.
Big roadrunners in N.M.

We began this summer travels from Casa Grande,AZ Our winter home on May 5th.

We have made a few stops along the way. Some planned , some not. Had a little Moho trouble around San Antonio and spent a coupe nights at the frieghtliner repair shop.

So we visited the River Walk in San Antonio. always a great place to visit, basically it is a canal thru a major part of downtown San Antonio. And yes, they are dog friendly, even the resturants invited us in with Molly. She had a great time too!
