Almost Christmas

WOW , how time flys. Can't believe it is almost the middle of Dec. We are at Palm Creek RV resort for another winter. Weather has been great up until about a week ago, cooled down into the 60's during the day and into the 40's at night.........plus it has rained a couple times.

The Dallas house almost flooded, house's on both sides did Flood.

Back at Casa Grande, AZ

We arrived back at Casa Grande Sept 17, 2007. The Resort , Palm Creek Golf & RV, is very quiet. A few people who live year round and a few like us who are returning a little early.

After crossing back into the USA around the first week of August, we visited the Helgeson's, Oldtown, ID,Hook's in Brewster,Wa, Janet G. in Salmon, ID, Merle & Jan in Coos bay, Hixon family in Bakersfield.
Also spent a few days in las Vegas as we always do when coming and going from Palm Creek.

Back in USA

The deck project was completed, the visit with the kids/grandkids was great. Departed Alaska July 27, rained most of the way down the Alcan, until Dawson Creek. Visited friends in B.C and made a day trip to Banff. Stopped in Newport WA to visit the Helgson's. Picked up the PT at the Hooks in Breswter, Wa and now resting up in Salmon, Idaho.
Depart for Oregon Aug 26.

Anchorage Event

These pics were taken at a Laura Ingraham (talk show host)appearance in Anchorage AK. Justin , our son, is general manager of KBYR radio and hosted the event. Pics are Justin & Laura, Jerry & Laura, Justin ,Laura and Amy, his news person and appearing with Laura is Governor Palin of Alaska. The coldest state with the 'hottest governor'. Alaskans saying, not mine, but I agree.........

Deck work to begin.

We have been here in Alaska for 2 weeks , staying in Justin's front yard of his new house, see picture where Justun got some gravel in for us to park. The other pic shows the deck. We have had dinner out with Karen & Walter and have been helping prep the yard for a new lawn, almost 1/2 acre.
Renee's dad, Larry, arrives tomorrow night. Larry has the most experience building decks so we all all ready to do whatever is required.

We had a good trip up the Alcan, arrived here June 8th. Will be here for about 2 months........

We stopped her in Brewster,wa on our way to AK, while here Kelly & Nicole had Kinden.
8lb 15 1/2 ....good lookin lil' guy. They are very happy and all is doing well.

Travel update

Thanks....we had fun there.... only have less than 30 days to go here........we are leaving here the 29 Apr, going to Vegas for 5 days, we have a 5 night complimentary at Outdoor Resorts ,http://www.lasvegasmotorcoachresort.com/main.php ,we don't usually stay at these 'spendy' parks but what the hell.............it's free this time.........Then.. mosey up to Oregon for awhile , maybe Washington coast, then stop by Kim's, then over to Hooks , going to leave the car at Hooks, then cross the border around Memorial Day............suspect we'll get up there around the 10th of June................will keep you informed....

Palm Creek Update

Jan & Feb have flown by and again I am behind in up dating the BLOG.

Tom & Sherry Hook were here for 2 months. Tom and I got into RC airplane flying. We had a few 'block parties' with plenty of food and drink.
We also have been going to a different resturants on Thrusday nites with a group of 10 to 16 people.

This weekend Mar 16-17 Judy and I are going to Prestcott ,AZ for a PT Cruiser rally.

Again I plan to update this Blog more regualrly, if not to inform everyone reading it, at least keep a record of all the Fun we are having.......for my self;-)

Ming, our beloved little buddy for almost 20 yrs passed away March 14,2007. He was a great cat and everyone loved him. We will miss him.

Palm Creek Dinner

Last nite we had a few friends over for a camp fire, albeit , a gas campfire. First day it has been nearly warm enough in the evening to site around outside. Everyone brought snacks and drinks.
We were invited to try a new place for dinner Friday nite.
It was very good, Picacho RV park Steakhouse restaurant. Not fancy, BBQing is done outside on a big open BBQ. Reasonably priced. There were 14 of us there for dinner. The owner had some special cherries marinated in 151 proof rum........

Over the holidays we visited Karen & Walter and the girls in San Diego. They were going on a Mexican cruise for Christmas. Then we spent Christmas with Lorena in Bellflower and Jim, Judy's brother in Whittier, CA.
